Healer Build
An Enshrouded healer build in 1.0 is an Intelligence mage that keeps a group alive with the Healer area's Healer, Water Aura, Waters of Life and Healing Revive skills, healing spells such as Chain Heal, Heal Cascade and Heal Channel cast from a staff, and a wand for damage and mana between heals. There is no wand that heals allies: healing comes from staff spells and Water Aura.
A healer in Enshrouded 1.0 is a mage that spends its points in the Healer area of the Skill Tree: the Healer skill for stronger heals, Water Aura and Waters of Life for constant healing around you, then healing spells cast from a staff, with Intelligence as the attribute that scales them. FireSpark81's healer guide of Oct 20, 2026 lays out the order: Double Jump, Spirit and a maxed Mana Currents, Quick Charge and Spellslinger, Mage Apprentice, then the Healer node maxed "and then grab water aura and waters of life", which "will give you a nice HP regen boost early on", followed by Radiant Aura, one point of Righteous Fire, Divine Surge "so that your heals can crit", Blink, Life Essence and Life Burst. There are no fixed classes, so a healer is a set of choices, not a class you pick; the healer section of Best Builds gives the short version, and this page goes deeper, with each source named.

How healing works in 1.0
Healing is scarcer than it was, which is why a healer matters. In Keen Games' Dev Update of Oct 23, 2025, the designers say passive regeneration let players "retreat from heated combat situations, take a little break" and return with full resources, so Update 7 cut health regeneration, lowered stamina and mana regeneration slightly, and made health something to prepare for "by crafting potions, eating appropriate meals, and so on". Everyone still has bandages, which heal over time, and health potions, which heal faster (Keen support); a healer adds healing that reaches the whole group.
Healing spells are staff spells. Keen's Thralls of Twilight highlights (May 13, 2025) add two beam spells, Beam Channel and Heal Channel: "One does damage, the other one... I guess you can figure that out!" A staff fires spells as its ammunition and spends mana on each cast (Keen support), and since 1.0 every spell has an Eternal version that never runs out of charges (Keen, Sep 23, 2026), so a late-game healer no longer crafts heal charges by the stack. Chain Heal goes to the ally you aim at, a fix from Patch 11 on Nov 25, 2025, which also made the skill Martyr heal other party members as intended (Keen, Nov 25, 2025). Allthings. How lists Chain Heal I as an Alchemist spell crafted 20 at a time, unlocked by picking up Chamomile (Allthings. How, Oct 21, 2026). Spell by spell, magic is on Magic and Spells.
The healer skills
Keen added the battle medic's toolkit with Update 7 (Nov 10, 2025): Righteous Fire ("Healing with a spell triggers a burst of fire that deals 50% of the heal amount to nearby Fell Enemies", with the note "We see you, battle medic players"), Divine Surge (healing spells can critically strike) and Shared Misery (players within 20 meters get more Shroud Resistance when you take Shroud damage) (Keen, Nov 10, 2025). The Healer area's core, with Allthings. How's 1.0 costs:
| Skill | Cost | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Healer | 1 per rank, 3 ranks | +15% healing per rank, 45% at full rank |
| Water Aura | 1 per rank, 3 ranks | A healing aura, 5 m radius per rank (15 m at full) |
| Waters of Life | 2 | Doubles Water Aura's healing |
| Healing Revive | 1 per rank, 3 ranks | +8% healing per rank on allies you revive |
| Divine Surge | 4 | Healing spells can critically strike |
| Life Essences | 1 per rank, 3 ranks | Maximum health scales with Intelligence |
| "Saviour" | 1 per rank, 3 ranks | Faster revives of allies |
Allthings. How's core takes 34 points and is finished by level 18 on level-up points alone (Allthings. How, Oct 21, 2026). It explains the math: Water Aura restores 1 health per 2 Intelligence, Waters of Life makes it 2 per 2, and the Healer bonus applies on top. KeenGamer's healer takes Healer, Water Aura, Waters of Life, Life Burst, "Saviour" and Healing Revive with Eternal Heal Cascade II and Eternal Chain Heal II (KeenGamer, Oct 17, 2026); Power Up Gaming's names Water Aura, Battle Heal and Blink. Sources spell one name two ways: Allthings. How writes "Life Essences", Chiselchip and Power Up Gaming "Life Essence".
Even damage mages take the Healer node late. In Chiselchip's mage guide of Oct 19, 2026, he maxes it at the end because "health gained from healing spells and water aura is increased by 45%", which he says makes the endgame easier. That is the line between a healer and a Mage Build: a healer takes the Healer area first and damage second.
Healing staffs and wands
The weapon that heals is the staff. FireSpark81 uses the Crystalwater Staff, which gives "plus two to healer and plus three to mana currents", and tells viewers to look for any weapon stats that boost healing or damage skills and "100% want some type of mana leech", a flat amount being better early when damage is low. He shows his baseline: Water Aura healing him for 35 every 5 seconds below full health, and a heal spell landing for 85 more. Keen's 1.0 changelog backs the leech advice: leech perks now use flat values early, and percentage leech is "reserved for specific weapons and gear" late (Keen, Oct 14, 2026).
People search for a "healing wand", but no wand in the 1.0 guides heals allies. Wands deal elemental damage, and a healer carries one for damage and mana between heals: Allthings. How's healer lists the Reaper's Wand, Ancient Drak Wand, Androme's Wand, Ashwood Wand (with health leech) and Apprentice Wand, and the Beastmaster Shaman Staff, a common staff with two ranks each of Healer and Mana Currents. With the Battlemage skill Unity, wand hits can restore mana, so firing the wand between heals refills the pool. KeenGamer's healer carries Oracle's Everblue (a legendary staff) and a Mythic Wand. Weapons in general are on Weapons.
Armor, gear perks and food
Choose gear by the skill levels it adds. FireSpark81 says the thing to "pay attention to the most is the skill tree bonus levels": Mage Apprentice on the helm, Life Essence on the chest, Quick Charge on the gloves, Bloodletting on the pants, and either runner boots or the crafted mage boots that boost Healer, mana regeneration and healing. Rings should add mana, mana regeneration and levels to skills you already have. Since Update 8 such perks can raise a skill past the level points allow (Armor Sets).
By set, Allthings. How names the rare Healer set (Alchemist, from Flame level 3, item level 15) for the early and mid game and the tier 6 Waveborne Ritualist set (item level 40) later; KeenGamer's endgame healer wears Lifelock with a Ring of the Ancients. Mage sets carry more magical than physical armor, so a healer stays behind the front line.
For food, FireSpark81 eats "whatever is the best you can make at any given point" that gives health, mana, mana regeneration and magic damage; Keen's tips say the same, food for your playstyle (Food and Cooking).
Healing in co-op
A group can retry a boss without starting over, and a healer is the reason it survives the next try. Keen's 1.0 highlights say enemies "no longer regain all their health instantly when you die", so coming back for another attempt "doesn't mean starting from scratch". Enemy strength scales with group size (Keen, Feb 9, 2024), which is why guides give larger groups a dedicated healer.
How to play it, in Allthings. How's words: stay behind the tank, keep hurt allies inside Water Aura's 15 m radius, fire the wand between heals so Unity restores mana, heal before a boss's big attack lands rather than after, and Blink away from threats, with Emergency Blink to break a stun. Healing Revive and "Saviour" make a healer the one who picks fallen allies up. Power Up Gaming's groups: tank and healer, or two damage dealers, for two players; tank, healer and damage for three; tank, healer, melee and ranged damage for four. The other roles are on Tank Build, Warrior Build and Ranger Build, and hosting a group is on Multiplayer and Co-op.
Solo: the sources disagree
FireSpark81 calls his healer "completely OP for solo play": he places two fire totems that enemies attack, casts Blizzard on top of them, keeps the totems coming, uses Fireball for range and Heal Cascade on himself, and gets the Eternal versions of Fire Totem and Blizzard as soon as he can. He says he cleared level 35 to 40 content with tier 1 Eternal spells and found the dragon "not scary at any point". Allthings. How judges the other way: solo play works but is slow, because the core healer adds little damage. Both 1.0 press guides call the healer a co-op role, and for solo play Best Builds suggests a battlemage that borrows a few healing skills. FireSpark81's build is exactly that hybrid, healing nodes plus Wizard damage, so the two views fit: a pure healer is slow alone, a healing battlemage is not.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best healer build in Enshrouded? The 1.0 guides of October 2026 build the Enshrouded healer around Healer, Water Aura, Waters of Life, Healing Revive and Divine Surge, with Eternal Chain Heal and Eternal Heal Cascade as its spells, Intelligence first and a wand for mana between heals.
Is there a healing wand in Enshrouded? No wand in Enshrouded heals allies; wands deal damage. Healing comes from staff spells such as Chain Heal, Heal Cascade and Heal Channel and from the Water Aura skill, while wands with leech perks or the Unity skill refill your own health or mana.
How do you heal other players in Enshrouded? Cast Chain Heal or Heal Cascade from a staff, aim Chain Heal at the ally, and keep allies inside Water Aura's radius; in Enshrouded the skills Healing Revive and "Saviour" also strengthen and speed up revives.
What does Water Aura do in Enshrouded? Water Aura heals you and nearby allies over time, up to a 15 m radius at full rank; in Enshrouded it restores 1 health per 2 Intelligence, doubled by Waters of Life, according to Allthings. How's 1.0 guide.
Is a healer good solo in Enshrouded? A pure Enshrouded healer is slow solo because it adds little damage, Allthings. How finds; FireSpark81's healer with fire totems and Blizzard handled level 35 to 40 content alone.
What is the best healing staff in Enshrouded? Enshrouded guides name the Crystalwater Staff (FireSpark81: +2 Healer, +3 Mana Currents), Oracle's Everblue (KeenGamer) and, early, the Beastmaster Shaman Staff; look for Healer ranks and mana leech.
What armor should a healer wear in Enshrouded? The Alchemist's Healer set early and mid game, the Waveborne Ritualist set later and Lifelock at the end, per Enshrouded 1.0 guides, chosen for the skill levels they add.

Skill TreeEnshrouded has no fixed classes. Every Flameborn spends skill points (2 per level-up, 1 per Shroud Root, 3 per Elixir Well; about 212 at most in 1.0 by guides' count) in one shared tree whose areas the 1.0 menu labels Survivor, Beastmaster, Ranger, Assassin, Trickster, Athlete, Barbarian, Warrior, Guardian, Battlemage and Healer, and can respec at a Flame Altar for runes. -
Best BuildsThe best Enshrouded builds commit to one playstyle for roughly the first dozen levels, then branch out. At 1.0 the main routes are the greatsword or two-handed warrior, the shield tank, the bow and dagger ranger, the staff and wand mage that 1.0 strengthened most, the battlemage and the healer, each tied to the survivor who upgrades its gear. -
Magic and SpellsMagic in Enshrouded is cast from staffs, which fire spells as ammunition and spend mana, and from wands, fast projectile weapons with a heavy attack since 1.0. Version 1.0 added nine spells (Mana Drain, Entangle, Pillar of Flames, Blizzard, Ball Lightning, three elemental totems and Summon Hollow Skeleton) and an upgradable Eternal version of every spell that never runs out of charges. -
Mage BuildThe best Enshrouded mage build in 1.0 fights with a wand for steady, mana-free damage and a staff for big spells, linked by the 1.0 skill Blast and Cast, with Intelligence as the main attribute, Water Aura and Blink for survival, and the Alchemist's mage armor. The 1.0 guides of October 2026 agree on that core and differ on the rest. -
WeaponsEnshrouded's weapons are one-handed melee weapons used with shields, two-handed axes and hammers, greatswords (since Nov 10, 2025), dual daggers (since Jun 5, 2024), bows, staffs and wands, in rarities from common to legendary. They are upgraded with runes and legendary runes by the class survivor, can carry weapon gems since Update 6, and reach level 55 at 1.0. -
Armor SetsArmor in Enshrouded comes in warrior, ranger and mage sets for each tier of the world: crafted sets are always rare quality, looted ones range from common to legendary, and all of them are upgraded with runes at the class survivor to unlock perks. Since 1.0 each Flame upgrade unlocks the next tier's craftable sets, armor can cut damage by up to 80%, and any piece can be tinted or hidden behind vanity.
