BossesEnshrouded's named bosses, in rough order of progression, are the Fell Thunderbrute, the Scavenger Matron, the Fell Wispwyvern, the Hollow Cyclops, the Vukah Brawler, the Fell Monstrosity, the Fell Sicklescythe, the Fell Dragon Youngling, Hydrak'Dal and, at 1.0, the story's final boss in Cinder's Cradle. Since 1.0 bosses regain health slowly after you die instead of resetting. -
Fell Dragon YounglingThe Fell Dragon Youngling is the dragon of Enshrouded's Albaneve Summits (achievement "King of the mountain"), long the game's hardest boss. Enshrouded 1.0 reworked it on Oct 15, 2026 with a big health cut, a wider arena with grapple anchors, an exhausted phase on the ground for melee and a weak point on its back for every weapon.
-
Fell ThunderbruteThe Fell Thunderbrute is the first boss of Enshrouded, the guardian of the first Elixir Well in the Springlands, reached through the Shroud near Braelyn Bridge on a quest from the Blacksmith. Beating it earns the achievement "Thundering success", its head and the Shroud Root at the bottom of the well.

Best BuildsThe best Enshrouded builds commit to one playstyle for roughly the first dozen levels, then branch out. At 1.0 the main routes are the greatsword or two-handed warrior, the shield tank, the bow and dagger ranger, the staff and wand mage that 1.0 strengthened most, the battlemage and the healer, each tied to the survivor who upgrades its gear. -
Magic and SpellsMagic in Enshrouded is cast from staffs, which fire spells as ammunition and spend mana, and from wands, fast projectile weapons with a heavy attack since 1.0. Version 1.0 added nine spells (Mana Drain, Entangle, Pillar of Flames, Blizzard, Ball Lightning, three elemental totems and Summon Hollow Skeleton) and an upgradable Eternal version of every spell that never runs out of charges. -
Skill TreeEnshrouded has no fixed classes. Every Flameborn spends skill points (one source is character level, the other is destroyed Shroud Roots) in one shared tree whose areas the 1.0 menu labels Survivor, Beastmaster, Ranger, Assassin, Trickster, Athlete, Barbarian, Warrior, Guardian, Battlemage and Healer, and can respec at a Flame Altar for runes.

Flame Altar and Flame LevelsIn Enshrouded the Flame Altar is your base's heart and a fast travel point; upgrading the Flame raises every player's stats, Shroud time and the number of altars you may place. 1.0 adds a Flame level needed for Cinder's Cradle (15 altars) and Flame level 11 after the final threat (16 altars, and altars push the Shroud back).
-
Progression GuideIn Enshrouded 1.0 the regions run Springlands (levels 1 to 10), Revelwood (11 to 15), Nomad Highlands (15 to 20), Kindlewastes (20 to 30), Albaneve Summits (30 to 40), Veilwater Basin (35 to 45) and Cinder's Cradle (45 to 50), with the Blackmire as a Revelwood side area (13 to 15), and Flame upgrades gate each step. The level cap is 50.

Farming, Fishing and AnimalsFarming in Enshrouded opens when you rescue the Farmer (soil, seeds, seedbeds, and since Update 7 crops that grow underwater); taming peaceful animals and keeping cats and dogs arrived on Nov 5, 2024; fishing came with Wake of the Water on Nov 10, 2025, and since 1.0 the tier of your bait decides the tier of fish that bites, in any water. A base holds up to 128 farm animals, fish included. There are no mounts. -
Food and CookingOn default settings, food in Enshrouded does not keep you from starving: it gives timed buffs (more health, stamina, mana, regeneration or attributes) in a limited number of food slots, and hunger only exists if the world turns it on, as the Survival preset does. The rested buff, from shelter and a comfortable base, raises stamina, and cold, wet and exposed states drain it.
