Patch Notes Since 1.0
The latest Enshrouded update is Hotfix 1.0.0.3 (build 1273043, Oct 21, 2026), which fixed crashes, black screens in multiplayer, save migration failures and missing early access rewards. It followed Hotfix 1.0.0.1 (Oct 15) and 1.0.0.2 (Oct 16); no newer patch had been posted as of Oct 28, 2026.
The latest Enshrouded update is Hotfix 1.0.0.3, build 1273043, which Keen Games posted on Oct 21, 2026: it fixed crashes, an endless black screen when joining some multiplayer games, save migration failures and missing early access rewards. It is the third hotfix since the 1.0 release of Oct 15, 2026, after 1.0.0.1 on launch day and 1.0.0.2 the day after. Keen publishes every patch as a changelog on Steam and on its website, as the close of its 1.0 highlights video says ("check out patch notes on our website or on Steam"). As of Oct 28, 2026 nothing newer had been posted: Keen's last post, on Oct 23, said only that Enshrouded was Steam Deck Verified and that "We'll be back next week with more fixes and improvements" (Keen). This page lists every patch since 1.0, newest first, in plain words; what 1.0 itself added is on What's New in 1.0, and the patches before it on Early Access Updates.

Steam Deck Verified (Oct 23, 2026)
Keen's post of Oct 23, 2026 was not a patch. It passed on news from Valve that "Enshrouded 1.0 was Steam Deck Verified" and promised more fixes the following week (Keen). Valve's report lists all its Deck checks as passed, with the note that external controllers are not supported as the primary player; details are on Platforms and System Requirements.
Hotfix 1.0.0.3 (Oct 21, 2026)
Hotfix 1.0.0.3, version 1273043, was mostly about crashes and saves (Keen). It fixed several crashes in the water simulation, crashes when leaving the game, at factories, and when a new recipe was unlocked while a filter was set on the recipe list, plus "several randomly occurring crashes". Water had been one of the systems Keen's engine team said it was still optimizing before 1.0, in its performance video, where Technical Director Julien promised to "continue working on all performance topics even after 1.0".
The same hotfix repaired three things players noticed most. Players who were missing their early access rewards (three decorative props for early access owners) can now redeem them from the pause menu. An endless black screen that some players saw when loading a multiplayer game is gone, and stuttering with V-Sync on AMD graphics cards was "improved". Light flickering in very large player bases was also fixed (Multiplayer and Co-op).
Save migration got two repairs. Characters whose extra backpack slots held invalid entries now migrate to the 1.0 save format, without the items that stopped the process. A base whose Flame Altar was not placed in the voxel grid "for unknown reasons" now has the altar moved back into the grid, but Keen warns that "the affected player base's water can't be loaded and must be re-added as needed" (Keen). A rare crash during migration was fixed as well.
Hotfix 1.0.0.2 (Oct 16, 2026)
Hotfix 1.0.0.2, version 1269579, first undid a mistake: the previous hotfix had stopped players from configuring world settings, "introduced accidentally" while Keen fixed the session lists in the multiplayer join menus (Keen; World Settings and Difficulty). It also fixed a rare crash during save migration caused by corrupted character saves. For now such characters are simply not migrated, and Keen asked players missing a character to "be patient - help is on the way!"
The rest of 1.0.0.2 fixed graphics and stability. A dense gray fog that appeared only on Nvidia graphics cards, most often in the Hollow Halls, is gone. Factories no longer crash in rare cases when placed or opened. Crashes were fixed when fast traveling or landing with a glider in worlds with many enemies, survivors or mannequins, while browsing or downloading shared adventures, with a completely full backpack, with the Twitch link server and when exiting the game. Subscribing to shared adventures became more stable (Adventure Sharing and Sparkworks), and a server crash when fighting "a very large number of enemies" was fixed, which matters to anyone hosting a dedicated server.
Skill descriptions were corrected too. The hotfix fixed the translations of Aerial Wand Attack, Evasion Attack, Wand Evasion Attack and Crash Down Attack in several languages, and said "Further skill descriptions are on their way in the next patch" (Keen). The changelog of 1.0.0.3 does not mention skill descriptions, so that work had not been announced as done as of Oct 28, 2026.
Hotfix 1.0.0.1 (Oct 15, 2026)
Hotfix 1.0.0.1, version 1267041, came out on launch day (Keen). Its one balance change hit magic: the Fire Wisp scroll now has a fixed level of 27, because its damage had scaled with the player's level, "which made the scroll ridiculously strong in the end-game". 1.0 had just given mages nine new spell types and an Eternal version of every spell, as Keen's highlights video lists (Magic and Spells). The hotfix also fixed random crashes, crashes caused by "specific peripherals attached to the PC", an indoor brightness problem in dynamic lighting, and updated the artbook and world map in the Deluxe Upgrade Pack (Price and Editions).
1.0.0.1 also broke world editing for some players, and Keen posted a workaround in the same changelog: "If you're trying to edit your world right now and the edit button doesn't work, try subscribing to something (anything) in adventure sharing, and then try editing your world again." Keen's Adventure Sharing video shows where to do that: choose the Adventure Sharing mode and pick any adventure another player uploaded. Keen has not posted that the edit button is fixed for good, so the workaround is still the advice as of Oct 28, 2026.
Known issues and workarounds
Keen named one sound issue in the 1.0.0.1 changelog that none of the later hotfixes says it fixed. Reverb in large halls and rooms, and the lowering of gameplay sounds while a lore voice-over plays, misbehave "only" when the master volume slider is below 100%. Keen's advice: "keep the master volume slider at 100% and regulate the volume in the Windows sound settings instead, if needed" (Keen).
The 1.0 changelog itself left one graphics issue open: "there can still be some shadow flickering in the distance on performance settings. This is being investigated and will be fixed in the future" (Keen). The other workarounds Keen posted since 1.0 are the world edit button fix above (subscribe to any shared adventure first) and, for missing characters, waiting for the migration fix Keen promised in 1.0.0.2. For a crash that persists, Keen asks players to file a ticket through its support site and answer the follow-up email asking for files; more fixes for common problems are on Server Troubleshooting.
The 1.0 release (Oct 15, 2026)
Version 1.0.0.0 is the base every hotfix above builds on. Keen posted its full changelog a day early, on Oct 14, 2026, with a warning first: "When playing for the first time in version 1.0.0.0 with an existing save game, the skill tree will be reset." Many of its fixes came from player feedback, as Keen's video of Aug 19, 2026 on the things it was fixing for 1.0 opens by saying; the Fell Dragon Youngling's arena and health are the first example.
The changes returning players notice first are in Keen's highlights video: updraft charge time became a world setting (the old instant updraft included), chests can be upgraded in place and renamed, custom map markers can be named, an auto loot setting collects loose loot nearby, improved bait guarantees fish of its tier, and enemies no longer regain all their health the moment you die. Everything else in 1.0, from Cinder's Cradle to Sparkworks, is on What's New in 1.0, and the launch itself on 1.0 Release.
PS5 patches
Keen's hotfix posts do not name a platform, and neither Keen nor PlayStation had published separate patch notes for the PS5 Version as of Oct 28, 2026. The PS5 version launched the same day as the PC 1.0 release, on Oct 15, 2026 (Keen press release). Which of the three hotfixes reached PS5, and when, has not been stated.
What comes next
Keen promised more fixes and improvements in the week after Oct 23, 2026, and two items are pending from its own changelogs: more skill description fixes and a migration fix for corrupted characters. Content plans beyond patches (the Xbox Series X|S version in spring 2027, cross-play, free updates and paid expansions) are on Roadmap.

They are full of the undead Hollow, opened with Bone Keys crafted by the Collector, and end in class chests paid for with Ectoplasm.
