Weapon Tier List
Keen Games publishes no tier list for Enshrouded. The 1.0 tier lists of Oct 15 to 27, 2026 put two-handed melee, the bow and the wand-and-shield battlemage at the top, the one-handed parry warrior just below, and daggers, the tank and the healer lower, while agreeing that the best weapon of any kind is the highest-level, most-upgraded one you can get.
The best weapons in Enshrouded 1.0, according to the tier lists published since the Oct 15, 2026 release, are two-handed melee weapons, the bow and the wand (with a shield, as a battlemage); daggers and the shield tank rank lower. Hack The Minotaur's 1.0 video, for one, ranks builds "in order of effectiveness, including damage, survivability, and ease of play". Keen Games has published no tier list, so every placement below names whose list it is and its date. One rule matters more than any tier: weapons of the same type at the same item level deal the same base damage, so the best weapon is the highest-level one with the most upgrade room you can get (Allthings. How, Oct 24, 2026). Weapon types are explained on Weapons, named endgame weapons on Legendary Weapons, builds on Best Builds.

Sources: GameWith's weapon tier list, reviewed Oct 27, 2026, which ranks "class and weapon" pairs for Version 1.0; Hack The Minotaur's best weapons ranked, updated for 1.0 on Oct 19, 2026; KeenGamer's 1.0 best builds by Ali Amir, Oct 17, 2026.
Hack The Minotaur's video ranking of seven 1.0 builds (Oct 18, 2026) ranks the one-handed warrior seventh, the assassin sixth, the wizard fifth, the summoner fourth, the greatsword barbarian third, the archer second and the battlemage first: it "moved up this patch from two to my undisputed number one", mainly because of the 1.0 skill Aerial Wand Attack, an area attack cast in midair while you jump clear of a boss. The written version on its site (updated Oct 15, 2026) lists Battlemage, Archer, Barbarian, Summoner, Wizard, Assassin, Warrior, Tank and Healer, from first to ninth (Hack The Minotaur).
Two-handed weapons: top of the melee lists
Hack The Minotaur's video calls the two-handed barbarian "the strongest melee build" in 1.0, for its sweeping swings, jump attacks and healing from Battle Heal and life-leech rings, with range as its weakness. GameWith puts the "Crash Down Two-Hander" alone at the top of melee, in its SS tier: a double jump into a Crash Down slam hits groups, breaks guards and costs only stamina, Its weak spot is flying enemies. The two-handers it names are Constantio's Constructeer V1.0, The Hennihilator and Soothsayer, all at a Power of 195 fully upgraded at legendary (GameWith, Oct 27, 2026).
The raw numbers favor them. Allthings. How's 1.0 table gives two-handed weapons 73 base damage at item level 26, 96 at 36 and 118 at 46, against 49, 64 and 79 for one-handed weapons. Keen's changes push the same way: Update 8 gave two-handed axes, hammers and greatswords new attack chains, as combat designer David explains in the clip, and 1.0 let heavy attacks hit several close enemies and fixed two-handed axe swings that "could miss sometimes" (Keen, Oct 14, 2026).
Which two-hander is best is where the lists split, and the highest damage number on a weapon is not the answer. 04AM's 1.0 berserker build (Oct 16, 2026) shows the Shroud Vessel's Greatsword at 179 damage, "the best on paper, but not the best on the field", and keeps using the Firebird's Claw at 167, which hits harder because of its fire damage modifiers and health leech. His & Hers Gaming makes the same point with hammers: split blunt and fire damage beats a bigger blunt number once Arsonist raises fire (Oct 22, 2026). Hack The Minotaur's two-handed ranking puts the Champion's Axe first for its health leech and faster swings, which trigger Whirlwind Crescendo in three swings instead of four, and the Guard of the North Sword second; but that page was last updated on Aug 6, 2026, for Update 8 (Hack The Minotaur). KeenGamer's 1.0 Barbarian also carries the Champion's Axe, while Allthings. How's 1.0 build prefers the legendary Guard Of The North Sword, 138 damage at level 55 (Oct 21, 2026). Builds are on Warrior Build.
Bows and wands: top of the ranged lists
The bow is in the top two of every 1.0 list. Hack The Minotaur ranks it second for ranged damage and exploration (Explosive Arrows III add 38 fire damage) but warns of heavy crafting and skill-point costs (Oct 19, 2026). GameWith puts the Explosive Arrow bow in SS for groups (it needs plenty of black powder) and the Eternal arrow sniper in AA for bosses and flyers, since mana-powered arrows need no ammunition. That second build exists because of 1.0: Keen added upgradable Eternal Fire, Shock and Bone arrows and the skills Puncture, Barrage and Survival Instinct (Keen, Sep 23, 2026). Full bow builds are on Ranger Build.
The wand is the lists' surprise. Hack The Minotaur ranks wand and shield first for hybrid play and survivability, because wand attacks cost no mana, and GameWith's SS Aerial Wand battlemage fights from the air with a wand and shield. Both reflect 1.0 changes: wands gained a heavy attack "that is immediately available" plus aerial and evasive attacks as skills, and Blast and Cast raises the next staff attack's base damage by 50% within 10 seconds of a wand critical hit (Keen, Sep 23, 2026). GameWith's caveat: wands hit softer, so bosses with a lot of health take longer. See Mage Build.
The middle and the bottom
Staffs sit in the middle. Hack The Minotaur ranks them third for area damage but notes cast times of about two seconds; GameWith rates two staff builds AA (totems with big spells, and a decoy summoner) and two builds CC, its lowest tier: the Shroud Caster, because every Shroud spell spends your time in the Shroud, and the bow-and-dagger Beastmaster, which needs animals nearby to fight for you.
The one-handed weapon with a shield ranks by role. GameWith's AA "One-Hander and Shield Parry" lives on parries and Merciless Attacks, strong against bosses and slow against groups, and names the Wailing Blade, the Graven Idol Axe and the Sun Axe; its Guardian tank is BB, "weak solo" but strong in co-op. KeenGamer instead calls the one-handed warrior its best solo melee build. Both are covered on Tank Build.
Daggers rank low: fifth of five for Hack The Minotaur (burst damage and stealth) and BB for GameWith, which says a Sneak Attack opener hits very hard but works best when an ally holds enemy attention. 1.0 moved the dagger skills to the assassin area and changed the dagger sets' perk to melee critical chance (Keen, Oct 14, 2026). Healing staffs, BB in GameWith's list and ninth in Hack The Minotaur's builds, are a co-op role; see Healer Build.
Where the lists disagree
- Two-handers. GameWith rates them SS; Hack The Minotaur ranks the greatsword fourth of five weapon types, citing slow swings and no ranged option, yet ranks its Barbarian build third of nine.
- Skill numbers. Battle Heal heals 1% of maximum health per rank for Allthings. How but 5% for Hack The Minotaur; Blood Rage adds 15% damage for GameWith but 20% for Hack The Minotaur. Check tooltips in game.
- What the list measures. GameWith ranks pairs of class and weapon fully upgraded at legendary and lowers a build that needs much crafting; Hack The Minotaur ranks weapon types by role; KeenGamer names a best build per role and does not rank weapon types at all.
How rarity and upgrades change the ranking
Rarity decides how far a weapon can grow, not how hard it hits on the day you find it. In Keen's Update 8 video, community manager Andrew clarifies that rarity "doesn't impact" an item's base stats: a common drop does not start worse than a legendary of the same type, the legendary "just has more room to grow" with more upgrades. Keen's changelog says the same of weapons: quality "only determines how many upgrade levels the item offers" (Keen, Apr 21, 2026). So a tier list's named weapons matter only once upgraded. Upgrades cost runes, and at 1.0 legendary items need legendary runes one upgrade step later than before (Keen, Oct 14, 2026).
Unique weapons can be crafted again as you outgrow them. Keen's Dev Update video of Oct 23, 2025 explains that any lore weapon you have unlocked can be crafted at a higher level, with craftable lore weapons "for every weapon type", which helps players unlucky with drops. Allthings. How counts 34 such uniques in 1.0 and finds that their item level follows your Flame level: 26 at most until Flame 7, 36 at Flame 8 and 46 from Flame 9. It names Dragon's Wing (bow), Ancestral Star and Blessed Club (two-handed) and Darya's Wand as uniques at the top item level from Flame 1 (Allthings. How, Oct 24, 2026); Flame levels are on Flame Altar and Flame Levels.
1.0 also made good weapons easier to find. Keen's 1.0 highlights say more chests in the opening hours give you "opportunities to try different weapons"; the changelog adds +5% legendary chance to all chests, a chance for wooden chests to hold a silver-chest weapon or armor piece, improved stats and perks "for a large number of weapons", and reworked Hollow Halls weapons (Keen, Oct 14, 2026). Weapon gems change the picture again at the top end; see Weapons.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best weapon in Enshrouded 1.0? No single weapon wins every Enshrouded 1.0 tier list. GameWith (Oct 27, 2026) rates a Crash Down two-handed weapon, the explosive-arrow bow and an aerial wand battlemage highest; Hack The Minotaur (Oct 19, 2026) ranks the wand with a shield first and the bow second.
What is the best melee weapon in Enshrouded? Two-handed weapons lead Enshrouded's 1.0 melee rankings: they have the highest base damage per item level and GameWith rates the Crash Down two-hander SS. Among named two-handers, guides favor the Champion's Axe or the Guard Of The North Sword.
Are greatswords good in Enshrouded 1.0? Yes. Enshrouded's greatswords share the two-handed base damage, the highest of any weapon type, and since 1.0 their heavy attack hits several close enemies; Hack The Minotaur ranks its greatsword Barbarian third of nine builds (Oct 15, 2026).
Is the bow good in Enshrouded 1.0? Yes. The bow is in the top two of every Enshrouded 1.0 tier list checked here, helped by 1.0's upgradable Eternal arrows and the new skills Puncture, Barrage and Survival Instinct.
Are wands good in Enshrouded 1.0? Yes. Enshrouded 1.0 gave wands a heavy attack and aerial and evasive attacks, and Hack The Minotaur's Oct 19, 2026 list ranks the wand with a shield first; GameWith warns that wands are slow against high-health bosses.
Does weapon rarity matter in Enshrouded? In Enshrouded, rarity sets how many upgrade levels a weapon has, not its base stats, so a common and a legendary weapon of the same type start equal and the legendary grows further with runes.
What are the worst weapons in Enshrouded? Hack The Minotaur's Enshrouded 1.0 list ranks daggers last of five weapon types, mainly for weakness against groups; GameWith's lowest tier holds the Shroud Caster staff build and the bow-and-dagger Beastmaster, which work only in certain places.

WeaponsEnshrouded's weapons are one-handed melee weapons used with shields, two-handed axes and hammers, greatswords (since Nov 10, 2025), dual daggers (since Jun 5, 2024), bows, staffs and wands, in rarities from common to legendary. They are upgraded with runes and legendary runes by the class survivor, can carry weapon gems since Update 6, and reach level 55 at 1.0. -
Legendary WeaponsIn Enshrouded a legendary weapon is any weapon of the top rarity: it starts with the same base stats as a common copy but has the most upgrade levels and perks, and its last upgrades cost legendary runes. Legendaries come from chests (golden and Shroud chests most often), enemies, bosses and the Hollow Halls; lore weapons, the named uniques, can be crafted again at every tier once found. -
Best BuildsThe best Enshrouded builds commit to one playstyle for roughly the first dozen levels, then branch out. At 1.0 the main routes are the greatsword or two-handed warrior, the shield tank, the bow and dagger ranger, the staff and wand mage that 1.0 strengthened most, the battlemage and the healer, each tied to the survivor who upgrades its gear. -
Warrior BuildA warrior build in Enshrouded 1.0 puts its skill points into the Strength side of the tree (Barbarian, Warrior and Athlete) and fights with a greatsword or other two-handed weapon, or a one-handed weapon and shield, on Strength and Constitution. The 1.0 guides build it around Two-Handed Specialization, Titan Edge, Blood Rage, Crash Down Attack, Battle Heal and Veteran, with Blacksmith armor and melee-damage food. -
Ranger BuildAn Enshrouded ranger build in 1.0 fights with a bow first and dual daggers up close, puts Dexterity first, and takes the Ranger area's Marksman, Sniper, Ranger, Fatal Precision and Multi Shot with the 1.0 skills Puncture, Barrage and Survival Instinct, in Huntress-made ranger armor. 1.0 creators name the Phoenix Bow their best bow; press guides name the Ignited and Firefeather bows. -
Mage BuildThe best Enshrouded mage build in 1.0 fights with a wand for steady, mana-free damage and a staff for big spells, linked by the 1.0 skill Blast and Cast, with Intelligence as the main attribute, Water Aura and Blink for survival, and the Alchemist's mage armor. The 1.0 guides of October 2026 agree on that core and differ on the rest.
