Endgame
Enshrouded 1.0's endgame is Cinder's Cradle, level 50, gear upgraded to 55 and, after the final boss, Flame level 11, which raises the altar limit to 16 and lets altars push back the Shroud. After the credits the world stays open for the remaining Shroud Roots, Hollow Halls, legendary upgrades, side quests, building and shared adventures. Keen has announced no raid tier or new game plus.
The endgame of Enshrouded 1.0 is Cinder's Cradle, the level cap of 50, gear upgraded to 55 and, once the final boss is dead, Flame level 11; after the credits your character, base and world carry on, and what is left to do is the remaining Shroud Roots, the Hollow Halls, legendary upgrades, side quests, building and other players' worlds. Keen Games' 1.0 Update Highlights set out the top of the climb: "Your level cap rises to 50 with gear upgrades reaching 55", with a new crafting tier and a survivor who specializes in Ancient knowledge. Few players have got there yet: on Oct 26, 2026, 0.5% of Steam owners had reached level 50 and 0.4% had beaten the final boss (Steam). This page names the final boss; the fight is on Lord Vorgoth and the story's close on Ending Explained.

What to do after you beat Vorgoth
Roughly in the order that pays off soonest:
- Raise the Flame to level 11. It costs 20 Spark, 18 survivors, 10 Celestium Bars, 15 Moonstone, 20 Diamond Dust, 15 Ember Carapace, Vorgoth's Bound Essence and Vorgoth's Eye (AllThingsHow, updated Oct 21, 2026). Every Flame level is on Flame Altar and Flame Levels.
- Place altars in the old fog. Level 11 gives "even greater might to push back the Shroud" (Keen). AllThingsHow notes that some outer borders stay Deadly Shroud.
- Clear the remaining Shroud Roots and Elixir Wells. At level 50, "leveling stops paying out", so roots and wells are the only skill points left (AllThingsHow, updated Oct 24, 2026). See Shroud Roots and Elixir Wells.
- Respec for the fights left. A reset costs 1 rune per spent point at any altar (Skill Tree, Classes).
- Upgrade one set of gear to 55 (below).
- Run the two newest Hollow Halls (below).
- Finish Cinder's Cradle's side quests (below).
- Build, then share. Adventure Sharing and Sparkworks are where the game goes on: the Steam page promises "When the campaign ends, your story doesn't" (Steam). See Adventure Sharing and Sparkworks and Building Guide.
Gear to level 55
Equipment reaches level 55 when fully upgraded, so gear can read higher than your level 50 character. Crafted and found items are upgraded by the survivor of their class (Classes), with runes from salvaged gear (Tips and Tricks). At 1.0 legendary items need legendary runes one upgrade step later, and every chest's chance of a legendary rose by 5%. Legendary runes drop from elites and bosses, so repeat kills feed the last upgrades.
| Late item | Where it comes from |
|---|---|
| Vorgoth's Armor | Crafted with Vorgoth's Bound Essence (AllThingsHow) |
| Vorgoth's Soulbound Crown and Gloves | The quest "Cinders Of The End" (AllThingsHow) |
| Shroud Vessel's Greatsword | Drops from Vorgoth (AllThingsHow) |
| Emberguard legendary shield | Found in Cinder's Cradle (AllThingsHow) |
| Guard of the North greatsword (level 50) | Cromville, behind switches on the upper balconies (Cinder's Cradle) |
More lore and legendary weapons by region are on Legendary Weapons, and the armor on Armor Sets.
Hollow Halls and repeat fights
Two Hollow Halls opened at 1.0, one in the Albaneve Summits and one in Veilwater Basin (Keen). The same changelog cut the cost of end-room chests by 25% and reworked the weapons found there to work particularly well against the Hollow, while staying useful elsewhere. Keep enough resources to craft the Bone Key for the next run (Hollow Halls).
Bosses respawn on a 30-minute timer, and playing in a group raises the chance of bonus loot (Bosses). Night Temples remain a separate challenge (Night Temples).
Cinder's Cradle side quests
| Quest | Given by | What it asks |
|---|---|---|
| Gathering Celestium | Blacksmith | Discover a Celestium mine, then mine Celestium |
| Crops Of Cinder's Cradle | Farmer | Gather the new crops, bring them back, craft Basalt Farm Soil |
| Star Signs | Barber | Learn to assemble a telescope, then talk to the Barber |
| Hearing Voices | A lore note | Find traces of Lord Vorgoth |
| Vorgoth's Ruminations | A lore note | Find his second and third notes, and dig below the note |

New character, new world, or new game plus?
Keen's 1.0 changelog lists no new game plus mode. You can start a fresh world with your finished character, because level, gear and skills travel with the character, while survivors and most recipes stay with each world (Keen's FAQ). Roots do not reset this way: "you cannot farm Shroud roots by making new worlds" (Keen's FAQ). For a harder second run, the sliders are on World Settings and Difficulty.
What comes next
Do not expect a world with no fog. In Keen's 2024 AMA recap the answer to a player who wanted "a shroud free world" was that "currently we don't plan on having a permanent end state for the game world", since many players enjoy rebuilding the ruins of Embervale.
More is planned, without dates. In "Road to Release" (Jan 21, 2026), creative director Antony Christoulakis says of 1.0, "it's not the end but another beginning for us", that development "will continue for years to come" with free additions and paid expansions, and that "there is a world beyond Embervale". What is known is on Roadmap, and fixes as they land on Patch Notes Since 1.0.
Frequently asked questions
What do you do after beating Enshrouded? After beating Lord Vorgoth in Enshrouded, raise the Flame to level 11, place altars in former Shroud, clear the remaining Shroud Roots, upgrade your gear to level 55, run the Hollow Halls and finish Cinder's Cradle's side quests; the world stays open.
Does Enshrouded have an endgame? Yes, in a loose sense: Enshrouded 1.0's endgame is Cinder's Cradle, level 50, gear to 55 and Flame level 11, with repeatable bosses and Hollow Halls, but no raid tier has been announced as of Oct 31, 2026.
Does Enshrouded have new game plus? No new game plus is listed in Enshrouded's 1.0 changelog, as of Oct 31, 2026; you can take a finished character into a new world, and level, gear and skills go with it.
What is the max level in Enshrouded? The max level in Enshrouded 1.0 is 50, and gear upgrades reach level 55.
Do you keep getting skill points at level 50 in Enshrouded? Only from Shroud Roots and Elixir Wells: at level 50 Enshrouded stops giving points for experience, and a full character has about 212 by guides' count.
Can you fight Enshrouded bosses again? Yes. Enshrouded bosses respawn on a 30-minute timer, and bosses and elites drop the Legendary Runes that late upgrades need.
Does beating Vorgoth remove the Shroud? No. Enshrouded's Shroud remains after Lord Vorgoth; Flame level 11 lets altars push it back around them, and some outer borders stay Deadly Shroud, AllThingsHow reports.

EnshroudedEnshrouded is Keen Games' solo and co-op survival action RPG set in Embervale, a voxel-built kingdom swallowed by a fog called the Shroud. It left Steam early access with its 1.0 release on Oct 15, 2026, launching on PlayStation 5 the same day, with Xbox Series X|S planned for spring 2027. -
Cinder's CradleCinder's Cradle is the endgame region added in Enshrouded 1.0 on Oct 15, 2026, north of Veilwater Basin, for characters of about level 45 to 50: lava wastes below and floating Ancient islands above, with 12 Shroud Roots, a new 14-type enemy faction, a new crafting tier and survivor, and the story's final fight high in the sky. -
Lord VorgothThis page names Enshrouded's final boss. Lord Vorgoth is the last boss of the 1.0 main quest, fought in two forms (Vorgoth, Champion of the Shroud, then Vorgoth, The Wanderer's Vessel) on a rooftop high in the sky over Cinder's Cradle; beating him earns the hidden achievement "A new North Star" and unlocks Flame level 11.
-
Ending ExplainedThis page is full of spoilers. Enshrouded's 1.0 story ends when the Flameborn defeats Lord Vorgoth in the Ancients' sky capital over Cinder's Cradle and rescues the Mother Flame; the outro slides say the Flameborn's sacrifice freed Embervale of the Wanderer's grasp, that the enemy's shadows remain on faraway shores, and that the Flameborn wakes once more. Keen calls it "an ending, though certainly not an end".
-
RoadmapAfter 1.0, Keen Games plans the Xbox Series X|S version for spring 2027 (no date), is working on cross-play with no estimate, and promises free updates and paid expansions "for years to come", including "a world beyond Embervale". No post-1.0 roadmap, DLC name, price or date had been announced as of Oct 28, 2026.

Flame Altar and Flame LevelsIn Enshrouded the Flame Altar is your base's heart and a fast travel point; upgrading the Flame raises every player's stats, Shroud time and the number of altars you may place. 1.0 adds a Flame level needed for Cinder's Cradle (15 altars) and Flame level 11 after the final threat (16 altars, and altars push the Shroud back).
